I recently bought a Holga HL-N LENS for my D-SLR.Based on my first experiences i found that the best results were achieved at 800iso with the camera set at F8 via the Non-CPU DATA option. I cropped these pictures to a square format as i have always used the square mask in my Holga film cameras and prefer the overall look. In blue sky conditions the shutter speeds were around 1/125th to 1/500th depending on compostion. I found the Live View useful when focusing on close subjects due to the darkness in the viewfinder...

Can a Samsung Galaxy be used as a travel camera?
Posted by Keiron Hillhouse at 11/28/2011 03:26:00 PMWe spent last weekend in Belgium, travelling from the UK over to France on the Eurotunnel. Apart from the 3am alarm call on saturday morning our two day break was exactly what we needed,a bit of bike riding, walking on the prom, having some great food and drink and a bit of shopping.
Being a dedicated film user and lover of lo-fi cameras aswell as a DSLR user i am rather suprised to admit that my new travel camera of choice is a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone combined with a couple of Andriod apps that can be downloaded free of charge. The first app is Camera Effects that has the ability of converting your images with a selection of post production effects (see slideshow) that include lomo, holga, magic, cross processed along with a couple of others that i have found to be a bit less useful.
I will post a few pictures taken on the second app Fxcamera later...

I have been a fan of David Byrne since i was a kid when i watched an episode of some American TV Show (may have been Macgyver) that had "Burning down the house" by Talking Heads playing during a fire sequence. Aged 9 (in 1984) the first album i bought was Speaking in Tongues followed quickly by Remain in Light.
This video from the New York times shows David Byrne riding his bike around his native city discussing urban cycling and ways in which it can be improved...
